A love in the making for over twelve years. These two have been eyeing each other since the seventh grade. Getting to know them has been so special. I loved being a part of their wedding day. Getting to know each other more though their engagement session was a perfect way to get ready for their wedding day. Their engagement session was at a special picked spot in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. I love when couples come in from out of town to capture their engagement photos in the area their love first started to bloom. They planned their wedding for the rooftop at Truss in Ohio City. A stunning skyline view of Cleveland and a glass lined reception room to watch the sun set on the city. Katie got ready in a beautiful and spacious sweet at the Hyatt Regency at the Arcade downtown. A perfect spot for hair and makeup and first look with dad. First look on the roof followed by a private vow reading. I love the private vow reading. It’s a special time to share together and much more romantic. A first look isn’t what everyone chooses but I love the extra time it adds to portraits and the emotion captured during this time. Ian and Katie had a relaxing moment to themselves for a drink and cocktail bite on the comfy couches in the Truss reception area while their guests gathered in the cocktail area. I love when couples can plan their timeline to attend cocktail hour, it’s a great time to enjoy your signature cocktail and mingle with with your guests. A evening full of dancing and a perfect ending with Katie dancing with her mother and sister to Dancing Queen and a glass of champagne with Ian in the elevator.
