Meet Annie

More Than A Photographer

I'm happy you're here! Officially, I'm Anne Spires, but my friends call me Annie, and I hope you will, too! I'm a photographer in Cleveland, OH, Akron and the surrounding area. Since 2006, I've specialized in wedding photography, high school senior portraits and family photography. But, I'm more than just a photographer.

I am a devoted wife to my husband of more than 17 years, Kyle. Together, we have three kids—Wren, Archer & Olive. We also have a great family dog named Booker.

We are homebodies who love cooking. My boys love to golf and fly fish. We love having chickens; however, we just moved and haven't gotten to build a new coop—yet. We have a camper and love to travel to the National Parks. My husband is an excellent cook and bartender, so we enjoy entertaining our friends. I also LOVE plants. I've shockingly had success with my indoor plants and love caring for them and seeing them grow.

"Take care of all of your memories… for you cannot relive them."
-Bob Dylan, American Singer-Songwriter

A History of Art

I am an alum of Kent State University with a degree in Art History, and for fun, I took a film camera class.

My photography is a documentary lifestyle approach, partly influenced by my wedding photographer's photojournalistic approach. As I watch our children grow, I become more passionate about the importance of documenting memories to hold onto them a little longer. As I flip the pages of my family's photo albums and gaze at the artwork on our walls, the ones that mean the most to me are those that transport me back in time, allowing me to relive that sweet moment again. After all, time is fleeting, and our children grow too quickly, right? So I am always thankful to have a snapshot to allow their childhood innocence to live on. That is the gift I want to give to you.

I have spent more than a decade honing my photography craft. I am thankful and look forward to combining my art training and personal vision to create photo heirlooms that other families will love for a lifetime.
